Most business owners are fully set up in under 15 minutes. You register your business, add your services and team, set your working hours, and your booking page is live. No technical skills needed — if you can fill out a form, you can set up Booqara.

Do I need to download anything to get started?

No. The owner portal runs in your browser — just go to admin.booqara.com and log in. The mobile app is optional and available on iOS and Android for you and your staff.

What kind of businesses is Booqara built for?

Booqara is designed for any service business that takes appointments. Salons, barbershops, nail studios, skin clinics, personal trainers, massage therapists, physiotherapists, and similar businesses all use Booqara. If your customers book time with a specific person for a service, Booqara fits.

Do my customers need to create an account to book?

No. Customers visit your booking page, pick a service, choose a time, enter their name, email, and phone, and confirm. That's it. No app download, no account creation, no passwords. The simpler it is for them, the more bookings you get.

What happens during my free trial?

Accepted Answer

You get full access to every feature on your chosen plan for 90 days at no cost. Your booking page goes live, you can add your full team, and real customers can start booking immediately. We do not ask for a credit card until your trial ends.

What happens when my free trial ends?

You will receive an email reminder a few days before your trial ends. If you choose not to continue, your booking page will pause and your data will be saved for 90 days. Nothing is deleted automatically — you have time to decide.

How is Booqara less than $1 a day?

With the launch offer, the Starter plan is just $19 per month. Divided across 30 days, that works out to about 63 cents per day — less than a coffee. Growth is $1.30/day. Pro is $2.30/day. For a business bringing in thousands of dollars a month, it is one of the smallest line items you will have.

Is there a free plan?

There is no permanent free plan, but every paid plan starts with a 90-day free trial with full access. No credit card required to start. You only pay if you decide to continue after the trial.

Can I switch plans after signing up?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from your portal settings under Billing. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the difference is prorated automatically.

Do you charge a commission on bookings?

Never. Booqara charges a flat monthly subscription only. We do not take a percentage of your bookings, charge per appointment, or add hidden fees. What you see on the pricing page is what you pay.

What does the annual plan save me?

Annual billing saves you about 20% compared to paying monthly. With the launch offer that is $15/mo on Starter (instead of $19), $31/mo on Growth (instead of $39), and $55/mo on Pro (instead of $69). Billed as one payment upfront at the start of the year, saving you up to $168/year.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your portal settings with no questions asked. Your access continues until the end of your current paid period. We do not offer refunds for partial months but you will never be charged again after cancelling.

What does my booking website actually look like?

Your booking page shows your business name, logo, cover photo, description, and your full service menu with prices and durations. Customers pick a service, pick a staff member (if you allow it), choose a date and time, and confirm. It is clean, mobile-first, and branded to your business — not to Booqara.

Can I use my own domain name?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all plans include custom domain linking. If you own mariassalon.com you can point it to your Booqara booking page in about 5 minutes. We provide step-by-step instructions. If you do not have a domain, your page is available at booqara.com/your-business-name from day one.

Will customers see the Booqara name on my booking page?

On the Starter plan, a small "Powered by Booqara" line appears in the footer. On Growth and Pro plans, all Booqara branding is completely removed. Your customers see only your business.

Can I have more than one booking page for multiple locations?

Each Booqara subscription covers one business location. If you operate multiple locations, each one needs its own plan. Contact us at talk@booqara.com and we can discuss a multi-location setup.

Does Booqara build or design my website for me?

Accepted Answer

The booking website is generated automatically from the information you enter during setup — name, logo, services, hours, and team. You do not need a designer or developer. If you want a custom design beyond what Booqara provides, you can use Booqara for booking only and link to it from your existing website.

Can each staff member have their own login?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every staff member you add gets their own login with email and a temporary password. Staff see only their own bookings and schedule. Managers see all staff. Owners have full access to everything.

Can I set different working hours for each staff member?

Yes. Each staff member has their own weekly schedule independent of the business hours. If Maria works Tuesday to Saturday and Jake works Monday to Friday, customers will only see available slots based on the correct person's hours.

How does staff leave work?

Accepted Answer

You or a manager can add a leave period for any staff member — full days, multiple days, or a specific time window within a day. Those slots are automatically blocked from the booking page. Customers will never see a slot that a staff member is not actually available for.

What if a staff member is sick on the day?

Add a leave for that day from the portal or mobile app. It takes about 30 seconds. Any existing bookings for that person will still show on your dashboard so you can contact those customers to reschedule manually.

Can I stop customers from choosing a specific staff member?

Yes. In your booking page settings you can turn off staff selection entirely. Customers will see available time slots only and the system assigns the right staff automatically based on who is free.

How do customers book an appointment?

They visit your booking page, pick a service, optionally pick a staff member, choose a date, pick from available time slots, enter their name, email, and phone, and confirm. They receive an email confirmation immediately and a reminder 24 hours before their appointment.

Can I add a booking manually without going through the customer-facing page?

Yes. From the portal dashboard or mobile app you can create a booking directly — useful for walk-ins, phone bookings, or rescheduling existing appointments.

What stops two customers booking the same slot?

The availability engine checks business hours, staff working hours, staff leave days, business off days, and all existing confirmed bookings in real time before showing any slot as available. Double bookings are structurally not possible.

Can customers cancel their own booking?

Yes. The confirmation email includes a cancellation link. Your cancellation window setting controls how far in advance they must cancel — for example, at least 24 hours before the appointment.

Do you send reminder emails automatically?

Yes. Customers receive a confirmation email the moment they book and an automatic reminder 24 hours before their appointment. You receive an alert every time a new booking comes in. All emails go from talk@booqara.com on your behalf.

Where is my data stored?

All Booqara data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the United States, encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not store data outside the US.

Who owns the customer data I collect through Booqara?

You do. The customer names, emails, and phone numbers collected through your booking page belong to your business. Booqara processes that data only to deliver the service to you. We never sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your bookings as a CSV file from the portal at any time. If you need a full data export before closing your account, email talk@booqara.com and we will prepare it for you.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation so you have time to export anything you need. After 90 days all your business data is permanently deleted from our systems. You will receive an email warning before deletion.

Is Booqara HIPAA compliant?
